More About This Coffee

The Kibingo washing station, situated in Kayanza, northern Burundi, is perched at an altitude of 1,893 meters. It supports 3,515 coffee growers from 18 nearby hills, with farm altitudes ranging between 1,700 and 1,900 meters.

Growers are organized into groups led by a farm leader to ensure efficient communication with the station, which boasts 10 fermentation tanks, 2 soaking tanks, and a drying field with 169 tables.

Kibingo processes up to 750,000 kg of coffee cherries daily. Farmers have access to organic fertilizer and low-cost coffee seedlings from the station’s nursery, aiding in farm renovation. Kibingo also engages in various farmer support projects, including livestock rearing and cooperative strengthening initiatives.

To us, good coffee is the result of careful craftsmanship, attention to detail and a deep respect for the coffee beans and the people who produce them.
